Thermic Tablets in Montessori Education

The Thermic Tablets are used to cultivate the ability to discriminate thermic qualities. Consists of a wooden box divided into 6 compartments containing six pairs of 8 x 4 cm tablets made from felt, wood, steel, cork, glass and marble. The Thermic Tablets are a fascinating material from the Sensorial area of the classroom that are designed to help a child refine their haptic or thermal sense. In other words, distinguishing differences in temperature! The tablets are made of different natural materials.
