NCDC requests Govt to take measures to strengthen data protection act

National Child Development Council (NCDC) members requested Government to take strict measures to strengthen data protection act like collection
limitations of data and purpose specifications.

The core committee of NCDC stated that the India presently doesn’t have a comprehensive and dedicated data protection legislation, while the consumers will be the ultimate victims as their data is at threat.

“Govt may bring two bills for personal and non-personal data. India’s outsourcing
assiduity will face hurdles while serving global clients,” the core committee said, adding that the being legal vacuum on data protection is an violation of the abecedarian right to privacy.

“Whether or not the new bill addresses the being enterprises raised by companies and sequestration lawyers, the delay for a particular data protection law in India gets longer,” a statement of NCDC reads.

NCDC Evaluator Aarthi I S said that it’s high time the people are shielded from wrong usage of people’s particular data.
