National Child Development Council (NCDC) organized ‘Online Funeral’:

Conducted Prayers, Bhagavad Gita Recitations, Tributes, Condolences and Last Kisses Online. This is the edited and shortened video of that variety innovative ‘Online Funeral’ conducted by NCDC.

The National Child Development Council (NCDC), the national organization for child welfare, has been notable for conducting Online Funeral Service for an employee who died of Covid19 infection.

Ashwathy N.U (32), a faculty member of the National Child Development Council, died on 2021 May 31 due to Covid positive and was not allowed to pay her last respects at home, said Baba Alexander, Master Trainer of NCDC and Global Goodwill Ambassador.

He said that all the staff, faculty and students, including the staff of the organization’s New Delhi head office, were able to attend this online function and this was the best possible tribute to the deceased in such a situation.

Baba Alexander said that the Visualization Meditation technique was applied here and that the experience was like a direct offering of the last rites. He said it was the first time such a ceremony had taken place.

Many who attended the event said the three and a half hour online funeral was a different experience.

National Child Development Council (NCDC) Managing Committee also decided to bear the entire cost of her seven year old daughter Aga’s further education.
It is the first time in Kerala, an employer promises such a help due to Covid death of an employee.
