The Broken Bridge Between Theory and Practice
The theory, it is beautiful. The practice, it is a mess. There is a broken bridge. The activities, they should be about bridging this gap. A teacher, she must be able to take the theory and apply it to the practice. But she cannot. She is not prepared. The training, it must be about this. It must be about a hands-on approach. The teacher must learn by doing. She must learn how to solve real-world problems. What do you do when the child eats the materials? What do you do when the child is not interested in anything? The training, it must prepare the teacher for these things. But most of the time, it is all theory. It is all about the “should be.” It is not about the “is.” This is a very big problem.
